The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Monday that 736 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 12 others died of the virus, while 602 have recovered during the same reporting period.
127 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 398,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 385,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,853 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 940,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses. 4,166 people received booster doses.
