Libya to reopen border with Sudan, says Dbeibeh

Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, announced on Monday that his government plans to reopen border with Sudan.

The Tripoli-based premier made the announcement during his opening speech of the “Free Zone for Transit Trade” economic forum, organized by the Libyan-Sudanese Chamber of Commerce yesterday in the Libyan capital.

Dbeibeh said the move will help resume the movement of goods and people between the two countries.

“The closure of the border between Libya and Sudan was something strange, and a move that we don’t accept,” Dbeibeh said.
