The Libyan embassy in Ukraine called Thursday on citizens residing there to be careful and not to leave homes unless necessary.
The Embassy advised those residing in areas of tension to move away to safer areas, according to a statement it published on Facebook.
Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Elmangoush, condemned Russian military attack on Ukraine, renewing the call for calm and retreat.
Earlier this morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. This was followed by bombing targeting strategic sites, defenses and air bases inside Ukraine, according to the Russian military.
