Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush spoke on the phone today with her Tunisian counterpart Othman Jerandi to discuss reopening of border-crossings between the two countries after it was closed due to increase of COVID-19 infections.
According to a statement by the Tunisian foreign ministry, Jerandi explained that his country decided to close the Ras Jedir and Zahiba Wazen border-crossings as a preventive measure after Tunisia witnessed a spike of virus infections last month.
The two chief diplomats agreed to continue close coordination regarding the Coronavirus situation.
