Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush spoke on the phone with her Tunisian counterpart Othman Jerandi on Wednesday to discuss bilateral cooperation, particularly with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Libyan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The two chief diplomats discussed “the latest developments in the epidemiological situation of the Coronavirus in the two countries, and the measures taken to address this pandemic,” the ministry said.
“In addition to the importance of strengthening relations of cooperation and joint coordination in various fields,” it added.
Mangoush also expressed Libya’s willingness to support Tunisia in ending the ongoing wildfires.
