Libyan lawmaker calls on members of Dbeibeh’s government to resign

Ali Tekbali, a member of parliament, has urged officials serving in Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh’s government to resign following the parliament’s decision to oust the outgoing premier.

“The ministers of Dbeibeh’s government, if they are concerned for the homeland, should respect the decision of the House of Representatives, and resign,” Tekbali tweeted on Saturday.

Since Dbeibeh is refusing to step down, Tekbali said, the ministers should “leave him alone” so that “he may understand”.
