Jibril Waheeda, a member of the House of Representatives, confirmed on Sunday that the House committee, charged with preparing a new political roadmap for the electoral process, will not be present its report during tomorrow’s parliamentary session.
Waheeda told the press that the committee’s report will contain several proposals for the next stage, including scenarios for whether the government of Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh will stay in power or whether a new interim government would be formed.
The lawmaker indicated that a lot of MPs are keen on replacing Dbeibeh, and said that this is one of the critical issues that should be decided upon.
