A group of Libyan lawmakers has established opposition bloc to protest the parliament’s decision to form a new interim government, announced MP.
Muhammad Al-Ra’idh said the bloc, which is called “Parliamentarians Against the Extension”, aims to end Libya’s decade-long transitional period and support the electoral process in order to hold presidential and parliamentary vote as soon as possible.
Al-Ra’idh did not disclose the number or the names of the lawmakers who joined the bloc, but he expects “nearly 100 MPs” to join.
