Derna – The General Secretariat of the Libyan Red Crescent announced the launch of a training exercise this morning in the city of Derna, as part of a strategic plan aimed at raising the efficiency of rapid response teams and enhancing their readiness to face emergencies and crises.
The Secretariat explained that this exercise is part of its efforts to develop the capabilities of its field teams and to coordinate with the relevant authorities in the fields of ambulance, rescue, and disaster management, which contributes to improving the speed and effectiveness of intervention during any emergency.
It affirmed that the exercise represents an important step towards consolidating the concept of unified teamwork among the various teams and specialized agencies, in an effort to better serve the people of Derna and all regions of the country during emergencies.
The Secretariat extended its thanks to all participants and supporters for implementing this exercise. It also praised the cooperation of the local community in Derna and its positive engagement with the Red Crescent’s efforts.
