Libya’s economy minister promises to “control local market”

Libya’s economy minister promises to “control local market”

The Ministry of Economy, under Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh’s government, will “take all necessary procedures and measures to control the local market,” announced Economy Minister Muhammad al-Hawij on Saturday.

Speaking during an inspection tour for local shops and markets in Tripoli, he affirmed that “these measures will be carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities”.

The minister explained that he seeks to stabilize the prices of goods in order to be affordable for consumers.
