Imad Al-Sayeh, the Head of Libya’s High National Elections Commission (HNEC), met on Thursday, with Algerian Ambassador to Libya, Sleiman Shanine, for discussion on supporting elections in the country.
The two specifically talked about endeavors to support elections in light of recent developments in Libya, according to a statement by the HNEC.
Shanine reiterated his country’s support for the will of the Libyan people and “their firm desire to achieve free elections,” HNEC said.
The Algerian diplomat toured the headquarters of HNEC and commended “the level of readiness of the commission and the efforts made to provide ideal conditions for holding elections,” said the commission.
