In line with its efforts to implement the objectives of Libya Vision 2030, which aims to support sustainable development and diversify the national economy, a delegation from the National Development Agency (NDA) conducted an official visit to the People’s Republic of China upon an official invitation.

The visit aims to enhance international cooperation and attract investment and expertise to contribute to the implementation of major development projects, particularly in the fields of renewable energy and infrastructure.
During the visit, the Director-General of the NDA, Dr. Mahmud Elforjani accompanied by the Director of the International Cooperation Office, the Director of Strategic Projects, and the Director of Investment—held a key meeting with officials from China’s TNP Group (Qingdao Tianneng Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.). The Chinese group, listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, is a major corporation specializing in manufacturing renewable energy equipment, specifically onshore and offshore wind turbine towers.
The two parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in developing clean energy projects in Libya and benefiting from Chinese expertise through the transfer of advanced manufacturing technologies.
This step is part of the NDA’s efforts to open new horizons with international partners and expand its base of cooperation with major global companies to support key development projects.

Faraj Aljarih, Director of the International Cooperation Office at the NDA, highlighted that the goals extend to human capital and technology. “Our goal is to support development, energy, and infrastructure projects, including ports, free zones, and international roads,” Aljarih stated. “Emphasis was also placed on the importance of technology transfer, localizing expertise, and building national capacities, all of which contribute effectively to promoting the shift toward clean energy and achieving sustainable development in Libya.”
