Benghazi – The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdullah Arhouma, discussed with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roya Foundation for Digital Economic Development and Strategic Studies, Dr. Uqba Khalifa, ways to enhance cooperation in the field of digital transformation.

During the meeting, held at the Roya Foundation’s headquarters in Benghazi, the Minister was briefed on the technical capabilities available at the foundation, especially in developing digital platforms and systems that support the regulation of the Libyan labor market.

The foundation’s team presented the “A’amal” platform, dedicated to regulating expatriate labor, which is considered a strategic project with security, economic, and social dimensions, in accordance with Labor Relations Law No. (12) of 2010.

The Minister praised the Roya Foundation’s efforts and its youth-driven vision in keeping pace with technological developments, stressing that the ministry has established a five-year plan that includes digital transformation in partnership with Jordanian experts to facilitate services provided to citizens and residents.
