Head of the Tripoli-based High Council of State (HCS), Khaled al-Mishri, met Monday with Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them at all levels, to serve the interests of the Libyan and Turkish people, according to HCS Media Office.
The two parties stressed their keenness on the necessity of holding elections in Libya as soon as possible, on sound legal and constitutional bases, the Office said in a statement.
