Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) on Saturday rescued 101 people from a boat that drifted from northwest of Libya, announced the NGO via Twitter.
The organization, also known as Doctors Without Borders, sent its sea-rescue ship Geo Barents after it was alerted of the migrant’s distress by Alarm Phone; an independent hotline support for migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Europe.
Four children and a pregnant woman were on board the boat, said MSF who assured that everyone on that boat are “now safe.”
