The Murada Combat Company, based on instructions from the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces and in coordination with the Libyan Heritage and Wildlife Authority, has been tasked with monitoring the Al-Haruj Wildlife Reserve and preventing hunting within it, with the aim of protecting wild animals and birds from extinction.
The mission includes conducting periodic, unscheduled monitoring patrols to ensure the element of surprise, while taking legal action against violators, including the confiscation of vehicles and hunting equipment, and only allowing tourists to safely enjoy the wildlife.
The company’s media office confirmed that this step aims to preserve the region’s biodiversity and enhance joint efforts to curb illegal hunting.
