The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, met with a group of elites, activists, media professionals, academics, and jurists, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government, Dr. Osama Hammad, and the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Khalid Haftar.
The Commander-in-Chief reviewed the current stage Libya is going through and the threats facing the nation that affect the country’s unity and social cohesion as a result of the ongoing political crisis, stressing that the path chosen by the people of their own will is what will restore stability and launch the course of construction and development in various cities and regions.
Field Marshal Haftar pointed to the national role entrusted to elites, activists, and media professionals in bringing about real change in the public scene and moving the country from a state of chaos to a stage that ensures social unity and state-building.
During the meeting, the attendees affirmed their full support for the Armed Forces and its efforts in protecting the homeland and preserving its security and stability, emphasizing that the real solutions to the Libyan crisis will not come from abroad or through the UN mission, but from the will of the Libyan people themselves.
