The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, met with the U.S. Embassy in Libya’s Chargé d’Affaires, Jeremy Berndt, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two sides in the energy sector.
According to the Corporation’s media office, the meeting involved discussions on ways to enhance cooperation in the energy sector and support the NOC’s efforts to increase production rates and achieve transparency and sustainability in a manner that serves the interests of the Libyan people.
For his part, Berndt affirmed the pivotal role played by the National Oil Corporation in stabilizing Libya’s oil sector, praising its national efforts to protect the country’s resources and manage them with high professionalism despite the challenges.
In turn, the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation affirmed the Corporation’s openness to cooperating with various international partners in a way that serves Libya’s vision for development and stability. He stressed the need to address the bottlenecks facing the Corporation and its subsidiaries through the unification of national efforts to achieve the desired goals in developing the oil sector.
