“All actions that could lead to instability and violence should be avoided,” Italy’s Special Envoy to Libya, Nicola Orlando, told Prime Minister-designate Fathi Bashagha during a”constructive call” on Monday evening.
In their joint conversation, Orlando stressed “the priority of elections and the urgency of a unified, inclusive executive to get there, and noted that all key stakeholders should put Libya before their particular interests.”
“I also reiterated that the neutrality of NOC and sovereign positions should be preserved, and national resources used in a transparent and equitable way,”concluded the Italian diplomat.
