Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh discussed on Monday the 2022 budget for the government of Fathi Bashagha with the latter’s deputy, Ali Al-Qatrani.
During the meeting in the city of Al-Qubba, both men stressed the need to “provide the citizen’s needs represented in food, medicine and electricity,” according to a statement by the parliament.
Saleh affirmed his full support for Bashagha’s government and “its ability to achieve the aspirations of the Libyans in holding fair and transparent presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.”
For his part, Al-Qatrani expressed the government’s keenness to” implement the tasks entrusted to it to serve the Libyan people, in addition to its commitment to implementing its plans, programs and initiatives aimed at advancing the Libyan economy.”
