Parliament announces finalization of electoral legislations

Libya’s House of Representatives announced on Tuesday that it finalized the legislations, which would serve as legal framework for the elections on December 24.

In a statement released via its official Facebook page, the House said it drafted legislations for both the presidential and parliamentary elections, thus completing “one of the most dangerous phases in Libya’s history”.

The House urged all other state bodies to “fulfill their commitments” to ensure that the elections are held on time.
