The Presidential Council has welcomed the meeting that took place yesterday between military leaders of eastern and western Libya.
General Abdel-Razek Al-Nadori, the General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), and General Mohammed Al-Hadad, the leader of military forces in west of the country, met for the first time in Sirte yesterday.
Al-Nadori told reporters that the meeting “friendly” and expressed optimism for the results it could produce in terms of reunification of the Libyan army.
In a statement on Saturday, the Council hailed the joint meeting as a “step towards the project of building a new Libyan state and its reunified army”.
