Aguila Saleh, speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, welcomed on Tuesday Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, in the eastern Libya city of Quba for talks on bilateral relations.
During the meeting, Saleh reaffirmed “the firm position of Libya and its people in support of the Palestinian people and their rights,” according to a brief statement by the Libyan parliament.
“For his part, the Palestinian Prime Minister valued Libya’s supportive position for the Palestinian cause in all international forums.”
