Tripoli – The Municipal Guard in the Eastern Region has announced intensive inspection campaigns. These campaigns will target pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies. They will also cover poultry sales stores and breeding farms.
The agency’s Media Department stated the campaign begins this Saturday. It aims to determine the reasons for significant price increases. This includes prices for chronic disease medications and poultry. The campaign will verify pricing mechanisms and supply sources. It will also monitor production stages within farms. It seeks to uncover overpricing, monopolization, or price manipulation.
The Municipal Guard confirmed it would take necessary legal action. This applies to anyone found exploiting citizens. It also applies to those causing unjustified price increases.
