The Libyan oil fields on Sunday recorded an additional figure in the daily production rates of crude oil and condensates, amounting to 22,332 barrels, bringing Libya’s total production of crude oil and condensates to 1,368,028 barrels, according to the National Oil Corporation (NOC).

Italy’s engineering, drilling, and construction services provider Saipem has secured a new contract worth approximately $1 billion for the development of a gas project off the coast of Libya. The contract is with Mellitah Oil & Gas Libyan Branch, a consortium formed by National Oil Corporation of Libya and Eni North Africa.

Gas flows from Libya to Italy have resumed after an interruption that lasted about two weeks due to a vast restructuring of the Mellitah plants, located on the North African coast.
