UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said she met Wednesday with House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker Agila Saleh in Qubba to discuss plans for next week’s final round of the Joint HoR/High Council of State (HCS) Committee talks in Cairo “aimed at establishing the constitutional framework needed to take Libya to comprehensive national elections as soon as possible.”

The Libyan Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, said that securing land and sea borders and building the capabilities of the security forces are among the government’s priorities.
