The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency of Tobruk Branch announced on Sunday, the deportation of seven Egyptian immigrants to their country through the Amsaad-Al-Salloum crossing border.

Libya’s Minister of Economy and Trade, Muhammad Al-Huwayj, and U.S. Special Envoy and Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, met in Tunis on Saturday for discussion on “potential political and economic reforms,” according to a statement by the U.S. Embassy in Libya.

The U.S. Special Envoy and Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, and Chargé d’Affaires, Jeremy Berndt, held talks on Sunday with Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saddiq ElKabeer, in which they discussed “the importance of the CBL’s technocratic integrity and independence in managing #Libya’s financial resources, including for the critical issue of flood reconstruction,” according to a statement by the American embassy.

Libya’s state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC) held a technical meeting last Monday with representatives of its Algerian counterpart, Sonatrach, to define an exploration plan to be carried out in 2024 in the Ghadames Basin, in western Libya.
