A tanker carrying one million barrels of crude oil to Italy docked Wednesday at the Sidra oil port in Libya, according to the National Oil Corporation (NOC)
NOC said that the tanker Matala docked at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the Sidra port, to ship one million barrels of crude oil to Italy.
The Corporation announced resumption of oil production and the opening wells at the fields of Waha Oil Company at a rate of 70,000 barrels per day, and a pumping rate of about 2,000 barrels per hour.
It said the production increase will take place gradually until normal production rates are reached.
The Corporation also announced resumption of production from the Nafoura, Tibesti and Al-Ghani fields of the Harouge Oil Operations Company, and the Nafoura and Al-Bayda fields of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company.
NOC stated that the production of the two companies will be increased gradually after returning the rest of the fields to production.
