Tripoli – The Head of the Audit Bureau, Omar Abdrabba, has directed all ministries, bodies, and state institutions. They must expedite the closing of their final accounts for the 2025 fiscal year. These accounts must be submitted within the legal deadlines.
In its circular No. (6) for 2025, the Bureau emphasized that this action ensures financial discipline. It strengthens oversight of public funds. It also reveals the state’s true financial position.
Furthermore, this process is a basis for preparing the next budget. It prevents any overruns, inflated surpluses, or concealed deficits.
The Bureau noted the entities’ obligations under Article (23) of the State’s Financial System Law. It also cited Article (11) of Law No. (19) of 2013. It stressed the need to meet the deadlines for submitting accounts to the ministry and the Bureau.
