The Competitions Committee of the Libyan Football Association Determines African Participating Teams

Tripoli – The Competitions Committee of the Libyan Football Association (LFA) announced today, Saturday, that Al Ahli Tripoli won the Libyan Premier League title for the 2024-2025 season, after the end of the coronation hexagonal round, during which the final ranking of the participating teams was determined.

According to what the committee announced on the official Facebook page of the Libyan Football Federation, Al Ahli Tripoli topped the ranking table with 13 points, Al Hilal came second with 8 points, equal to the third place team Al Akhdar, while Al Ittihad came in fourth place with 6 points, the same balance of Al Ahli Benghazi, who finished fifth, while Al Swehli came sixth with only one point.

In light of these results, Al Ahly Tripoli and Al Hilal will represent Libya in the African Champions League, while Al Akhdar and Al Ittihad will compete in the African Confederation Cup, as the third and fourth place teams, respectively.

For its part, the Medical Committee of the Libyan Football Association called on the administrations and crews of teams participating in African tournaments to expedite the completion of the medical files required by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), stressing that this step is essential to ensure official registration and unhindered participation.

In a notice published on the LFA website, the committee also stressed the importance of qualified teams completing health vaccinations in accordance with the regulations of the countries hosting continental matches, in order to ensure the safety of the missions and avoid any delays or potential obstacles during their foreign participation.
