Tripoli – The General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences signed two joint cooperation protocols on Wednesday. The signing was with the Libyan Business Owners Council. The first protocol focuses on organizing exhibitions and economic events. The second protocol concerns sponsoring and supporting the Egyptian Products Exhibition in Tripoli. Engineer Issam Al-Awl, Chairman of the Authority, signed the first protocol. Al-Aref Al-Qajiji, Executive Director, signed on behalf of the Council. The second protocol was signed between the Authority and the Libyan-Egyptian Business Council. Its chairman, Diab Karim, was present.
Both protocols aim to enhance cooperation in organizing exhibitions and economic events. They seek to support the Libyan private sector. The agreements will expand partnerships between Libya and Egypt. The goal is to promote national products. They also aim to open greater trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
Engineer Issam Al-Awl confirmed the initiative will begin with the “Made in Egypt” exhibition. This Egyptian Industries exhibition is scheduled for next October. It will take place at the Tripoli International Fair, sponsored by the Authority. A series of joint exhibitions will follow. These aim to strengthen economic partnership between the private sectors in Libya and Egypt. The focus is on creating marketing opportunities for Libyan products. These opportunities target Arab and international markets. Several department directors from the Authority attended the signing ceremony. Management of the Tripoli International Fair also attended.
