Benghazi – The Libyan Relief and Humanitarian Aid Commission distributed humanitarian aid. This aid targeted the Sudanese community residing in Benghazi. The distribution was a partnership with the World Food Programme. The commission stated the distribution was carried out under direct instructions. These instructions came from its head, Salem Buzarida.
Food aid was provided to approximately 2,200 Sudanese families. The commission added that this step is part of its humanitarian efforts. These efforts aim to alleviate the suffering of needy families. They also support the most vulnerable groups. The initiative falls under joint cooperation programs.
