Benghazi – The activities of the Turkish Household Goods Exhibition, held at the exhibition grounds in the city of Benghazi, concluded this Thursday evening, featuring the participation of more than forty Turkish factories specializing in household goods, furniture, upholstery, and electrical appliances.
Over its three days, the exhibition witnessed a remarkable attendance of merchants, companies, and businessmen, and was met with great approval and praise from visitors.
The presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emaar Libya for Exhibitions, Abdul Hamid Al-Zawawi, and a number of officials and stakeholders in the economic sector, contributed to enhancing direct communication between the representatives of the participating Turkish companies and Libyan merchants from various cities.
For his part, the Director-General of the Exhibitions and Conferences Department at the General Authority for Exhibitions, Fouad Al-Awam, said in a statement to (WAL) that the exhibition contributed to opening a new market for Turkish products within the city of Benghazi, explaining that the wide participation of Turkish factories created a real opportunity for Libyan merchants to obtain direct commercial agencies from the exhibiting companies.
He added: “During the days of the exhibition, we witnessed a clear desire from a number of Turkish companies to open branches inside Libya and grant agencies to local merchants, which paves the way for establishing future factories and production lines,” stressing that these participations enhance economic partnerships and support trade exchange between Libya and Turkey.
Hind Al-Ferjani from the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce and Industry – one of the supporting bodies for the exhibition – confirmed that the Chamber pays great attention to organizing and managing internal and external exhibitions, in coordination with the General Union of Chambers.
She said that the Chamber pays great attention to sponsoring and supporting small and large economic forums, addressing and inviting the Chamber’s affiliated businessmen to attend economic events at home and abroad, in addition to organizing economic seminars that contribute to strengthening relations between Libyan businessmen and their counterparts from other countries.
The correspondent of the Libyan News Agency observed intensive commercial activity during her coverage of the exhibition’s activities, through direct offers and business meetings that brought together exhibitors with investors and local merchants.
