The United States wants to install a new authority in Libya that takes care of its interests and is submissive to it, headed by a weak figure, similar to what it did previously in Afghanistan with Hamid Karzai, said Jaballah al-Shaibani, a member of the Libyan House of Representatives.
“America seeks behind the guise of forming a national government to install a Libyan Karzai who takes care of its interests so that the US ambassador becomes the actual ruler behind the scenes, therefore, our people should choose the next head of state,” Shaibani said in a statement.
