The Turkish Armed Forces have deployed a monitoring military unit backed by surveillance planes on the Libyan border with Tunisia after the recent events in Tunisia, an informed source said.
The source stated that the Turkish forces stationed in western Libya have recently raised the state of readiness and preparedness in western Tripoli and Nafousa Mountain, where they are stationed at Al-Wattia Air Base, the largest military base in North Africa.
Last month, Turkish military officers installed an air defense and jamming system inside the Military Industrialization Factory in the western city of Bani Walid, sources told Libyan TV channel 218.
