Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, revealed that Ankara is determined to continue to “stand by Libya and Azerbaijan to support their causes.”
“Turkish soldiers are not foreigners in Libya, but rather continue their activities there at the invitation of the government,” Akar said in statements, coinciding with the visit of the Head of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, to Turkey.
He stressed that everyone should realize the existence of military and educational cooperation, and consultations provided by Turkey for the benefit of the government, in accordance with the understandings between the two parties.
Akar compared what his country is doing in Libya to what other countries are doing for different tasks, but “they insist on not understanding it because they are doing their best to defame Turkey”, noting that “these defamation and disinformation campaigns have no value.”
