Tripoli – The Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity announced two injuries on Wednesday. These injuries resulted from the collapse of a dilapidated building. The incident occurred in the Old City of the capital, Tripoli.
The ministry stated that the Health Emergency Department initiated urgent measures. A specialized committee was assigned to assess the accident site. They will prepare a detailed report.
The ministry also stated direct coordination occurred with the Ambulance and Emergency Services. This service reported two injuries from the incident. The injured were transferred to Tripoli Central Hospital for necessary medical care. Their health condition is stable. However, they may require orthopedic surgery.
Separately, the Tripoli Security Directorate reported a partial collapse of a dilapidated house. This also occurred in the Old City. The collapse caused minor injuries. Bab Al-Bahr Police Station and Criminal Investigation initiated necessary legal procedures.
A woman and her two daughters died in a dilapidated house collapse last December 18. That incident also took place in central Tripoli’s Old City.
