U.S. Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, is visiting Cairo on Monday to discuss with senior Egyptian officials support for holding Libya’s presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible, according to U.S. Embassy.
“Amb. Norland is visiting #Cairo today to meet senior Egyptian officials to discuss the way forward in #Libya and how as partners, Egypt and the United States can work with all parties to support Libyans’ expectation of presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible,” U.S. Embassy in Libya tweeted.
