Brussels – The lineup for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 is now complete. This follows the conclusion of the playoff matches on Wednesday evening. The final qualification spots for the last 16 were decided.
Eight clubs secured their places through the playoffs. These teams are Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Atalanta, and Atlético Madrid. Also qualifying were Newcastle United, Bayer Leverkusen, Bodø/Glimt, and Galatasaray.
Eight teams had previously qualified directly for the Round of 16. These include Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. Barcelona, Chelsea, Sporting Lisbon, and Manchester City also qualified directly.
Attention now turns to Nyon, Switzerland. The UEFA headquarters will host the final draw on Friday morning, February 27. This draw will determine the Round of 16 pairings. Fans eagerly await to discover the anticipated clashes. They also want to see the teams’ paths to the advanced stages.
