UN Secretary-General’s Special Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said she discussed Saturday with the Mayor of Benghazi Saqr Boujouaro and members of the city’s municipal council about issues that concern the city, especially the reconstruction of the city, irregular migration, and the need for decentralization.
“Pleased to learn about the many projects UN agencies have implemented or supported in the city. I also listened to the council’s proposals on the political situation and the electoral process. They stressed the urgent need to push forward the national reconciliation process,” Williams tweeted.
