UN Advisor meets with Haftar and Dbeibeh as presidential cadidates
Special Adviser to UN’s Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, met Saturday with the presidential candidate, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, and candidate Fathi Bashagha.
“Among the wide range of various Libyan interlocutors I met so far, I had the opportunity to meet with a number of presidential and parliamentary registered candidates, in Tripoli, Misrata, and Benghazi,” Williams tweeted on Saturday.
“I intend to meet more candidates in the coming days to hear from them about their views on the electoral process and the way forward,” She added.
