Italy’s Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and U.N. Advisor on Libya Stephanie Williams met in Rome on Monday for talks on the situation in Libya, according a statement by the Italian top diplomat.
Di Maio emphasized that Italy’s priorities are “security in the Mediterranean, the stability of Libyan and the respect of human rights.”
“In Libya, it is urgent to face continuous violations of human rights,” he said “A goal that remains at the center of Italy’s action.”
