UN Secretary-General’s Special Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, has said she met with Acting Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), and Minister of Interior, for consultations on supporting the electoral process.
“Together with Acting Head of UNSMIL and Mission Coordinator Raisedon Zenenga, I met today with Mr. Fawzi Noueri, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Imad Al-Sayeh, High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Chairman and Mr. Khaled Mazen, Minister of Interior,” Williams tweeted on Sunday.
“The meeting comes as part of the wide range of consultations I am conducting in various cities with Libyan institutions, political and security actors, in support of a free, fair, and credible electoral process,” she added.
