U.N. Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, arrived in Tunis on Friday where she met with the country’s foreign minister Othman Jerandi, to discuss the upcoming round of talks between Libya’s House of Representatives and High Council of State due to take place in Cairo starting on 15 May.
“During our meeting, I briefed him on my recent meetings with Libyan officials as well as my consultations with the international community,” stated Williams via Twitter.
“We also underscored [the] importance of maintaining calm on the ground, as well as the need for the international community to speak with one voice,” she added.
