Citing an unnamed U.S. “senior administration official”, La Repubblica said that Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi will meet with U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday to discuss several world issues, including the conflict in Ukraine and Libya.
“[Libya] a place where we have worked closely to address the political situation on the ground,” the U.S. official told La Repubblica.
“Obviously there is a lot of interest in Italy on the energy front,” the official said. “We think it is in the interest of both countries to see political stability and economic in Libya. Our teams have worked closely together and will undoubtedly continue to do so.”
