The U.N. Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, briefed outgoing prime minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh on resluts of the first round of political talks between members of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State which recently conculded in Cairo.
This come following a week-long consultations between both sides nder the auspices of the United Nations, which aims to reach mutual consensus in order to reactivate the electoral process.
According to a statement by Dbeibeh’s government, the two also discussed the recent shutdown of Libyan oilfields, and how the government will respond to it.
