637 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate, according to a Monday report by the National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC).
The center also said that 17 people died of the virus, while 1,310 have recovered during the same reporting period.
NDCD reported that 203 people are in “critical condition”.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 346,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 271,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 4,792 people. Over million people received one dose of the vaccination, while more than 280,000 others were vaccinated with two doses.
