AFRICOM: Political solution is the way forward for Libya

PC President, AFRICOM Commander discuss combating terrorism and organized crime in southern Libya
U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) affirmed on Thursday that “a political solution, not a military one, is the way forward for Libya.”
“We support State Department‘s diplomatic efforts to ensure the holding of elections on Dec. 24, and the country’s path to greater stability and unity,” the Command tweeted today.
AFRICOM declared its support for the statement of the embassies of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States on Libya, in which the embassies confirmed their support for efforts to ensure that elections are held on scheduled date, December 24.
