Al-Ahli Benghazi and Tripoli meet in a friendly match to honor Khair and Al-Falah

Al-Ahli Benghazi and Tripoli meet in a friendly match to honor Khair and Al-Falah

Benghazi – A tribute friendly match was held yesterday evening, Tuesday. It took place at Benghazi International Stadium. The match featured Al-Ahly Benghazi and Al-Ahly Tripoli. A large crowd attended the event. The match honored the families of the late player Wanis Khair and medical staff member Hashem Al-Fallah.

The match also honored several veteran athletes from various Libyan clubs. Among them were Ali Al-Mayar from Al-Ahly Benghazi. Ibrahim Al-Maadani represented Al-Ahly Tripoli. Saad Al-Zayani from Al-Nasr and Tariq Maimoun from Al-Hilal were also recognized. Wishes for a speedy recovery and continued health were extended to them.

Many former athletes who had represented both clubs attended the match. Their presence added a special character to the celebration. They emphasized the importance of such events. These events honor local sports figures.

The match kicked off at 6 PM. Referee Rafea Al-Houti officiated the game. He was assisted by Mounir Al-Zalawi and Mohammed Al-Jahani. The game saw mutual attacks from both teams. However, it ended in a 0-0 draw. Players shook hands at the end. They displayed good sportsmanship.

In statements from Al-Ahly Tripoli’s delegation, players and administrators expressed their gratitude. They thanked the organizing committee and the attendees. They affirmed that the sophisticated organization and professional atmosphere reflect the level of Libyan sports. It also fosters brotherhood among clubs. They also stressed that these events enhance communication between current and former players. They make the tribute a national occasion for Libyan sports as a whole.
