Sebha – The Mayor of Al-Barakat Municipality held an extensive meeting with members of the Municipal Council, the director and staff of the Licensing Office, and the director of the Municipal Guard to discuss complaints submitted by merchants and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises within the municipality’s jurisdiction.
The attendees discussed the main challenges facing business owners, particularly concerning licensing procedures and fees, the process for their issuance and renewal, and the possibility of reducing their cost.
The director of the Licensing Office clarified that the procedures followed are in accordance with the legislation and regulations approved by the competent ministry.
During the meeting, the Mayor of the Municipality affirmed his readiness to follow up on all complaints and coordinate with relevant authorities to address obstacles, as part of supporting local economic activity and improving the business environment in accordance with the laws and regulations issued by the Ministry of Local Governance.
